Assignments
TORSO is affiliated
with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and
uses only USSF certified assignors and referees.
How
Games are Assigned
Game assignments are
made roughly one week in advance of each playing
weekend depending on changes made to the schedule
due to weather or field availability.
The TORSO assignor will assign games based on the
level of competition and experience of the available
referees. And per USSF guidelines, referee
assignments are rotated. If you have recently upgraded or have
experience that would be helpful in determining the
level of games that you are capable of officiating,
please discuss this with the TORSO assignor.
Game
Fees and Payment Process
For the
2007 / 2008 playing season, TORSO will use the
following referee pay scale:
Referees are paid on a weekly basis for games
completed the previous week. In order to assure that
timely payment is made to you, please put your name
on both game sheets at the conclusion of the game.
Additionally, center referees must submit a game
report by using the
online game reporting feature.
Duration of Games
All
TORSO games are full 90 minute games comprised of 2
- 45 minute halves. A 10 minute halftime interval is
provided. Water breaks may be given during each half
without adding stoppage time.
Approved Referee Systems
TORSO abides by USSF
policy and assigns only 3-referee crews or single
center referees. Dual or 2-center referee systems of
control are not used by TORSO. Games that have only
2 referees assigned to them should use a center
referee and a single assistant referee - no dual
center referee systems should be used. The use of
club linesmen is an option if a second assistant
referee is required.
