Game Day
In addition to the TORSO Code of Conduct and the Bylaws, the following are important steps you must take on the game day or a few days prior to game day. The schedule will be posted on TORSO Web Site.
Step 1: Check web to find out who your team is going to play against.
Step 2: Send e-mail or phone call to manager of opponent team (information available on line) This will eliminate uniform conflict on the field, which is home team must change uniform if color conflict occurs. Also find out if they will be coming to the game. No surprises on game day.
Step 3: Print game sheet on game day by going to schedule. By clicking on the "vs" on schedule it will give you printable option of game sheet showing both team rosters. This is the official game sheet the referee will require and also shows any suspended players on both team. If a player is not approved on your roster player, that player’s name will not appear on game sheet. Please provide the player cards to the referee 15 minutes before the game time. The referee will verify players. If a player card is not ready or available by the game time, then the player must provide driver’s license or some ID with photo (but this only applies to players listed on the official roster). The referee will not accept any write-in on the game sheet, so please be sure to work with registrar by Thursday of game week to get player approved.
Step 4: Establish and maintain control of, and administer and guide, your team, fans and friends on the touchline and on the field before, during and after the match.
Step 5: Check with the referee after the match to verify the score, the identity of the players who scored, the identity of the players who received any red or yellow cards, and the reasons for any red or yellow cards. Initial the match report after all information is confirmed. Please make sure that all important comments from the referee are included on the match report.
